The TecMicro Sensor by TecSense is an optochemical gas sensor that can measure oxygen levels in ambient air or in liquid. This makes it useful for breweries, modified atmosphere packaging, testing head-space gases, bio-incubators, respirometers, algae or aquatic applications. It can measure the oxygen level in a fish tank or a tank of gasoline.
Features
Measure from 0ppm to 100% oxygen (depends on model)
Fast measurement speed
ATEX II approved for use in explosive atmospheres
This sensor is so fast it can measure up to 15 kHz (15,000 times per second). This makes it useful for respirometry or fast changing process events where oxygen is the catalyst or moderator.
Because it is all stainless steel, it can be used in clean in place (CIP) and sterilize In place (SIP) applications like incubation, brewing, or in the pharmaceutical or food processing industries. The sensor can withstand high temperature, high pressure, cleaning agents and anti-bacterial compounds.
The ability to measure 0% oxygen levels means that it can be used to measure dew point to determine if you have dry gas - important in welding and other metallurgy applications.
Models
All models listed below come with an RS485 to USB connector and 5VDC adapter so that the sensor can communicate directly with our free GasLab® software. 1/2" fine thread connector in stock. Other connectors available by request.

Dissolved Liquid Cross Sensitivity
While the TecMicro is monoscopic (low cross-sensitivity) to other gases, dissolved oxygen sensors can be sensitive to the following:
Alcohols greater than 5%
Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) greater than 3%
Sodium hypochlorite (NaClO, commercial bleach) greater than 3%
Gaseous sulfur dioxide (SO2) or chlorine (CL2)
If the measurements are unstable and other troubleshooting procedures do not correct the problem, there may be interfering substances present in the solution.
There is no interference from the following:
Carbon dioxide (CO2)
Ammonia (NH3)
pH, or any ionic species like sulfide (S2 -), sulfate (SO4-2), chloride (Cl-)
Hydrogen sulfide (HS-)
