When selecting Switching Diodes there are some important parameters to be considered, Maximum Reverse Recovery Time (trr), Average Rectified Current (IO), Forward Surge Current (IFSM) and Peak Repetitive Reverse Voltage (VRRM) are the most common. Switching Diodes are used in high speed switch circuits, reverse polarity protection circuits and rectifying applications.
