Titebond Solvent Free Clear Pressure Sensitive Adhesive is a latex-based, clear thin spread formula for the installation of vinyl, vinyl composition and asphalt tiles, as well as foam-backed hardwood parquet tiles. It combines a fast tack with a long open time.
Titebond Solvent Free is environmentally superior and contains no ozone-depleting chemicals. It is nonflammable, emits no harmful fumes and cleans up with water.
Application Temperature
Above 65°F. for adhesive and substrates
Service Temperature Range
40°F. to 120°F.
Method of Application
Airless mastic spray gun, roller, trowel or brush. For smooth surfaces, use a
1/32" U-notch trowel. For rough surfaces, use a 1/16" square-notch trowel.
Working Time
72 hours maximum
Working Surfaces
Surface must be dry and free of any material that may deter adhesion. Cut and fit all material before applying adhesive. Apply adhesive. Adhesive is ready when it becomes nearly clear and no longer transfers to the finger when lightly touched. Set tiles in place carefully because they will not slide. Roll within 12 hours. Allow adhesive to dry well before exposing installations to cleaning water.
Cleanup
Clean tools and excess adhesive with water while wet. If adhesive has dried, use mineral spirits or equivalent solvent. Follow solvent vendor's precautions when using solvents. NOTE: Test solvent in an out-of-the-way area to make sure it will not mar or attack the surface.
Do not use directly over or under solid vinyl tile or sheet goods. Remove old vinyl flooring before laying new floor. Keep from freezing. Subfloor and materials should be at least 65°F. for 24 hours before and after installation.
