GGB DU™ Cylindrical Bushes - Inch Size 6040 DU-B

Description
Our metal-backed, PTFE-based (polytetrafluoroethy lene) polymer bearing materials have a common structure, consisting of a metal backing bonded to a porous bronze sinter layer. This bronze sinter layer is impregnated and overlaid with the filled PTFE bearing lining. The metal backing provides mechanical strength, while the bronze sinter layer provides a strong mechanical bond between the backing and the bearing lining. This construction promotes dimensional stability and improves thermal conductivity. These polymer bearing linings, being predominantly PTFE, offer exceptionally low friction.

The DU¬Æ Cylindrical Bushes - Inch Size, specifically part number 6040 DU-B, are designed for a variety of industrial applications, including aerospace, agricultural equipment, and food processing. These self-lubricating bushings provide excellent wear resistance and low friction performance across a wide range of loads, speeds, and temperatures, making them suitable for dry running conditions. The material is also appropriate for lubricated applications and can accommodate linear, oscillating, and rotating movements. The bushings are approved to Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR 25.853 and FAR 25.855), indicating their suitability for interior aircraft applications. They are available in standard dimensions and can be customized to meet specific project requirements. The maximum dynamic load capacity is 36,000 psi, with a maximum operating temperature of 536¬8F. The product features a sliding layer composed of PTFE and fillers, supported by a porous bronze sinter layer and a steel backing, ensuring mechanical strength and dimensional stability.
