GGB DU™ Cylindrical Bushes - Inch Size 10050DU

Description
Our metal-backed, PTFE-based (polytetrafluoroethy lene) polymer bearing materials have a common structure, consisting of a metal backing bonded to a porous bronze sinter layer. This bronze sinter layer is impregnated and overlaid with the filled PTFE bearing lining. The metal backing provides mechanical strength, while the bronze sinter layer provides a strong mechanical bond between the backing and the bearing lining. This construction promotes dimensional stability and improves thermal conductivity. These polymer bearing linings, being predominantly PTFE, offer exceptionally low friction.

DU® cylindrical bushes are metal-polymer anti-friction bearings for dry or lubricated applications in industrial, aerospace, and medical equipment, featuring a steel backing, porous bronze sinter layer, and PTFE-based bearing lining. They operate from -200°C to 280°C, support static loads up to 250 N/mm² and dynamic loads up to 140 N/mm², and offer sliding speeds up to 2.5 m/s dry or 5.0 m/s lubricated. The coefficient of friction ranges from 0.02 to 0.25 dry and 0.02 to 0.12 when lubricated. Approved to FAR 25.853 and FAR 25.855 for aircraft interior use. Shaft surface roughness should be 0.3-0.5 μm for dry operation. The bearing form is available in inch sizes and standard metric dimensions.
