GGB DU™ Cylindrical Bushes - Inch Size 0606DU

Description
Our metal-backed, PTFE-based (polytetrafluoroethy lene) polymer bearing materials have a common structure, consisting of a metal backing bonded to a porous bronze sinter layer. This bronze sinter layer is impregnated and overlaid with the filled PTFE bearing lining. The metal backing provides mechanical strength, while the bronze sinter layer provides a strong mechanical bond between the backing and the bearing lining. This construction promotes dimensional stability and improves thermal conductivity. These polymer bearing linings, being predominantly PTFE, offer exceptionally low friction.

The DU¬Æ Cylindrical Bushes - Inch Size, specifically part number 0606DU, are designed for a variety of industrial applications, including aerospace, agricultural equipment, and food processing. These self-lubricating bushings provide excellent wear resistance and low friction performance across a wide range of loads, speeds, and temperatures, making them suitable for dry running conditions. The bushings are also approved for use in interior aircraft applications according to Federal Aviation Regulations FAR 25.853 and FAR 25.855. The product features a metal backing with a porous bronze sinter layer, which is impregnated and overlaid with a filled PTFE bearing lining. This construction enhances mechanical strength, dimensional stability, and thermal conductivity. The DU¬Æ bushings are compatible with linear, oscillating, and rotating movements, and they can be used in both lubricated and dry applications. Maximum dynamic load ratings reach up to 36,000 psi, with a maximum operating temperature of 536¬8F. The recommended shaft surface roughness is Ra ,⧠2-16 Oºin, and the hardness should exceed 200 HB for optimal performance.
