The 4582a implements a new generation of multi-layer Ethernet matrices for high speed embedded interconnect applications requiring low-power 10GbE and 40GbE connectivity. Our Switchware management application provides IPv6 support, RIPng, OSPF v3, VRRP, security features, configurable memory allocation, new status counters, etc.
Fully compatible with our model 43xx Switchware, the 4582a is the ideal platform combining these enhanced features and flexibility.
Available Ethernet interfaces:
30 serdes on the rear panel P1/P2) individually configurable in 10GBase-KR or 1000Base-KX modes. Each group of 4 serdes can be merged to support 40GBase-KR4 or 10GBase-KX4 modes
2 serdes on the front panel, linked to 2 x SFP+ cages to support fiber or copper 10GbE
