Krytox™ Performance Lubricants Krytox™ Tire Mold Grade Grease TM7

Description
Krytox™ TM7, TM7S, and TM100 greases are specifically designed for the lubrication of segmented molds, both electrically and steam-heated, in the vulcanization process of rubber tire manufacturing. These lubricants eliminate carbon residue buildup on the molds associated with hydrocarbon and hydrocarbon-based synthetic greases. They exhibit excellent adhesion, allowing the operator to significantly increase production by extending lubrication intervals. The TM7 will last in excess of 5000 cycles, based on average curing times, without relubrication. TM100 has proven to be the most effective product with life between lubricant applicationsof approximately 50% more than TM7. The white color is easier to see, providing for more efficient application as well as excellent visibility, should contamination of a tire occur. These Krytox™ products are fluorinated greases with polytetrafluorethyle ne (PTFE) thickeners and selected additives. They have excellent thermal stability and load-carrying abilities. They have a high degree of chemical inertness and extremely high hydrolytic stability. Contact with boiling water or steam has no effect. Krytox™ TM7S contains a soluble anticorrosion and antiwear additive that should provide extended service beyond the capabilities of TM7. During the development process, TM7 was called KDP-4429, TM7S was called KDP-4473, and TM100 was called KDP-4510.
