The MLSG232M040JK0C is a slimpack aluminum electrolytic capacitor with a stainless steel case, designed for high-reliability military and aerospace applications. It measures 1.5 inches in case length and features a rated voltage of 40 Vdc, capacitance of 2300 µF, and a capacitance tolerance of ±20%. It withstands vibration up to 80 g, operates from -55 °C to +125 °C, and meets a 5000-hour life test at 125 °C and rated voltage. The part has an ESR of 0.105 Ω at 120 Hz and 0.100 Ω at 10 kHz, with a maximum ripple current of 1.5 A at 85 °C and 60 A at 25 °C. Terminal connections are 18 AWG copper wire with tin-lead electroplate, rated for 20 A max. The thermal resistance from case to ambient is 6.6 °C/W with no heatsink. Ripples are derated for higher ambient temperatures. The device meets MIL-STD-202 and IEC 60068-2-6 vibration standards.
