Type 942 polypropylene axial film capacitors are designed for high pulse and snubber applications with very high dV/dt and low inductance. The 942C16P22K-F variant has a capacitance of 0.22 µF, rated for 1600 Vdc (460 Vac), with dimensions of 23.5 mm diameter and 46.0 mm length. It features a capacitance tolerance of ±10%, operates from -55 °C to 105 °C, and uses tin-plated copper terminals with UL94V-0 epoxy fill and UL510 polyester tape wrap. The part supports self-healing and meets a test voltage of 3 kVac between terminals and case. Typical dV/dt is 1919 V/µs with a peak current of 422 A and rms current of 11.8 A at 70 °C.
