The Type 500C aluminum electrolytic capacitor is a screw terminal device designed for long-life applications in mainframe computers, UPS, and power supply filtering, with a rated voltage of 25 Vdc and a capacitance of 1,000,000 µF. It has a nominal size of 3 1/2 x 8 5/8 inches and is rated for operation from -40 °C to +95 °C. The part achieves a ripple current of 58.3 A at 85 °C with an ESR of 2.9 mΩ at 25 °C and is built with Thermal-Pak™ extended cathode construction for improved heat dissipation. It undergoes a 5000-hour endurance test at full load and 85 °C, with limits on capacitance change, ESR, and DC leakage. The case is uninsulated and uses a stud terminal (Can Style P).
