The Type 168/185 series consists of radial lead metallized polyester capacitors with 5.0 mm lead spacing, designed for general-purpose applications including bypass, decoupling, energy storage, and arc suppression. The capacitors are housed in rugged rectangular plastic cases with UL94V-0 rated epoxy fill, operate from -55°C to +125°C, and support rated voltages from 50 to 400 Vdc. Capacitance ranges from 0.001 µF to 1.0 µF with tolerances of ±5%, ±10%, or ±20%. The parts are non-polar, non-inductive, and have a total self-inductance of approximately 7 nH. Packaging options include bulk, ammo pack, or tape and reel.
