The AP2114 is a fixed 3.3V low dropout (LDO) linear regulator capable of delivering a minimum continuous load current of 1A. It operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and is compliant with RoHS standards. The device features an output voltage accuracy of ±1.5% and a typical dropout voltage of 450mV at 1A output. It has excellent line regulation of 0.02%/V (typical) and load regulation of 0.2% (typical) from 1mA to 1A. The AP2114 includes built-in protection features such as fold-back short current protection and over-temperature shutdown (OTSD). It exhibits low quiescent current of 60OºA and low output noise of 30OºV RMS. The regulator is stable with a minimum output capacitance of 4.7OºF, compatible with ceramic, tantalum, and aluminum electrolytic capacitors. The AP2114 is suitable for applications including LCD monitors, LCD TVs, and set-top boxes.
