Carpet Tape is cloth carrier double coated with an aggressive rubber adhesive, and that is supplied on an easy-release liner.
This product is used for carpet hold-down, general purpose uses in aircraft manufacturing, and temporary mounting for assembly or machining operations. It will leave little to no residue upon removal.
