Leveraging industry-standard serial EEPROM and NOR flash memory, Datakey offers tokens with SPI, I2C or Microwire interfaces and capacities from 1 Kb to 64 Mb. The tokens feature:
Ultra-rugged Construction – SlimLine™ tokens are solid over-molded using a durable composite, making them impervious to liquids and virtually crush-proof.
Redundant Contacts – With contacts on both sides of the memory token it is impossible to insert it “upside-down.”
Branding Options – The tokens are available in six standard colors and come in standard and extended lengths. The extended length token can be OEM-branded with a molded-in logo.
Datakey's SSX Extended SlimLine™ Token contains 2 Kb to 256 Kb non-volatile SPI Serial EEPROM memory. A thin profile and space-saving interface connection make the SSX well suited for use in compact systems. Typical applications include access control and lower capacity data transfer. The SSX extended token is constructed of tough, synthetic materials that protect the memory from harsh environmental influences including dirt, moisture, chemicals, X-rays, and electrostatic discharge. Data stored in the device can be read, written to, and erased via a simple interface to your host hardware, or accessed through convenient SlimLink™ programmers.
