Leveraging industry-standard serial EEPROM and NOR flash memory, Datakey offers memory keys with SPI, I2C or Microwire interfaces and capacities from 1 Kb to 64 Mb. The keys feature:
Ultra-rugged Construction – Serial Memory keys are solid over-molded using a durable composite, making them impervious to liquids and virtually crush-proof.
Redundant Contacts – With contacts on both sides of the memory key it is impossible to insert it “upside-down.”
Branding Options – The keys are available in six standard colors and have custom logo options for the shank and head areas.
Datakey’s LCK keys are economical 1 Kbit, 4 Kbit, and 16 Kbit data carriers that provide convenient data storage and transfer for high-volume, end-user applications that require a low-density, read/write portable memory. Each LCK key contains a non-volatile, serial Microwire EEPROM that can be read, erased, and written to via a Keyceptacle® which is available in both panel-mount and board-mount forms. The LCK can also be accessed and programmed through the KeyLink™ Reader/Writers that easily interface to PCs and other host hardware via a standard RS-232 or USB port. A molded, synthetic body protects each key's embedded memory from harsh environmental influences, so it retains data even when exposed to dirt, moisture, chemicals, X-rays, and up to 10 kV of electrostatic discharge.
