Venting Cap Plugs Purpose Ultrabake™ Venting Cap Plugs are designed to mask plain and threaded studs or holes; there is a small nipple on the top of the mask which can easily be punctured or removed to form the small vent. The masks then mask off the hole or stud and allow trapped air to escape from inside the cap through the vent. How the product is used When used as a cap the cap is applied by being pushed over the stud, as the cap is pushed onto the stud the trapped air will escape from the inside of the cap allowing the operator to push the cap down into position. It can then be removed by being pulled off. When used as a plug the plug can be pushed into the hole and air will escape from the plug as the plug is pushed into position. Recommended for Powder coating, E-coating, Plating, Anodizing, Spray painting Temperature Range Maximum temperature 600 ºF (315 ºC) Design Features Vented - The cap plug is vented to allow trapped air to escape Flexible - The cap plug is flexible so it can fit over a series of different diameters Reusable - The cap plugs are reusable depending on the application Color coded - The cap plugs are color coded to ease identification and sorting Identification - The Shercon name is on the cap plug Storage conditions Items should be stored in dry conditions at an ambient temperature of between 55 ºF (13 ºC) and 85 ºF (30 ºC). It is important to rotate stock and use the product in the order that it is received.
