Lead Foil Discs - Description These discs are available in a range of metric and imperial sizes. Discs are provided on a liner, which is wound on a core. The tape that the discs are made from is electrically conductive, Acid resistant, Malleable, has a high density and has X-ray opacity. Discs or die cuts will appear as dark areas on X-ray film, providing a marker to help locate defects. It is recommended that a burnishing tool be used when positioning the disc, to ensure good contact between the tape and the surface. Recommended for Chrome, cadmium, nickel plating, chemical milling and as a moisture resistant barrier. Temperature Range Maximum temperature 225 ºF (107 ºC) Availability In addition to these discs, Lead Foil tape is available in roll form in a range of imperial and metric widths.It is also available pre-cut as: Rectangles Squares Donuts Custom Die Cut Shapes. Storage conditions Items should be stored in dry conditions at an ambient temperature of between 55 ºF (13 ºC) and 85 ºF (30 ºC). It is important to rotate stock and use the product in the order that it is received. Rolls of discs or die cuts should be stored on end
