Description: DAFLON SM450 is a dual wall shrink and melt PTFE tubing which gives a tight, moisture-proof seal. It is made from two types of PTFE. The outer wall is TFE and the inner lining is FEP. When heated to 400°F, the FEP melts, and at 621°F the TFE wall shrinks tightly. The FEP is squeezed into a solid or near solid mechanical encapsulation. DAFLON SM450 tubing protects against most environmental hazards involving pull, vibration, moisture, chemicals, etc. It may be used over wires, terminals, splices, connectors and as a strain relief and end cap. The outer wall meets MIL-I-23053/12. Operating Temperature: -100 to +450°F. This series is RoHS compliant.
