The CY23FS08OI is a FailSafe,Ñ¢ Zero Delay Buffer designed for clock distribution applications requiring uninterrupted operation during primary clock failures. It features two reference clock inputs and eight phase-aligned outputs, ensuring continuous, glitch-free performance by utilizing an internal digitally controlled crystal oscillator (DCXO) as a redundant clock source. The device automatically resynchronizes to the external reference clock when it is restored. This buffer supports a reference input frequency range of 1 MHz to 200 MHz for commercial applications and up to 166 MHz for industrial applications. It provides a typical output cycle-to-cycle jitter of 100 ps and output-to-output skew of 110 ps. The CY23FS08OI operates with split power supplies, allowing for 2.5V or 3.3V outputs, while the core power supply is fixed at 3.3V. The device is packaged in a 28-pin SSOP and is available in both commercial and industrial temperature grades, making it suitable for a variety of applications.
