Scotch¬Æ Box Sealing Tape 375 is a 3-inch wide, 1000-yard long clear tape designed for demanding packaging applications such as box sealing, splicing, and recooperage. It features a biaxially oriented polypropylene film backing that provides strong conformability and high edge tear resistance. The tape utilizes a pressure-sensitive hot melt rubber-resin adhesive, ensuring instant adhesion to various surfaces, including those with high recycled content. The tape exhibits an adhesion to steel of 55 oz/in width and a tensile strength of 35 lbs/in width in the machine direction and 70 lbs/in width in the cross direction. It has an elongation at break of 160% and a thickness of 3.1 mils. The product is considered water-resistant and meets CID A-A-1684B and ASTM D5486 Type III standards. It is recommended for use at room temperature and performs well under typical shipping and storage conditions. Proper storage is advised in a clean, dry environment with temperatures between 40-80¬8F and relative humidity of 40 to 50%.
