These industrial trackballs are the sub-assembly version of the high reliability 2.0 inch diameter panel mount trackball; for integrating into your OEM equipment. CTI’s rugged trackballs have a Delrin housing with a formed Teflon sealing ring in a machined, anodized aluminum mounting collar. The T1XXX has a 0.290" collar. The T8XXX has a 0.130" collar for thinner mounting plates. The 2.0 inch diameter rugged trackballs can withstand over 0g forces. The T1XXX and T8XXX industrial trackballs mount with four screws and occupy just 1.26 inches of below panel depth. The encoder outputs are quadrature signals brought out on a ribbon cable terminated in a ten-pin connector with standard 0.1 inch spacing for easy connection to a PCB.
Power requirements are 5V DC at 40 mA maximum. The encoder resolution is 640 counts.
