A greater degree of ride comfort is achieved by effectively separating the engine noise and vibration from the chassis and driver´s cab. We develop efficient mounting concepts for engines, for example by using Schwingmetall® conical mounts and V series and K series hydromounts. Their special features are their selective damping and good spring properties.
The cabs must be mounted as flexibly as possibly to enable the driver to work comfortably and safely. However, the impacts and the changing loads which occur under the harsh operating conditions encountered are fundamentally opposed to this flexible mounting.
Our product concept with its specifically acting damping enables us to achieve a balance between comfort requirements and the harsh, changing loads. Our SCHWINGMETALL® Airmount HL Series, which regulates levels by means of compressed air, sets new standards in comfort and rounds off the SCHWINGMETALL® V series and K series hydromount ranges.
Cab mounts using the Schwingmetall K 3500 series hydromount ensure a high comfort level and optimum working conditions even under the harshest operating conditions in O&K´s wheel loaders and track-laying excavators.
One of O&K´s important specifications was that damping should be particularly effective. This is because the trend in crawler excavators is for ever greater speeds. This results in more pronounced excitation of vibrations from the rigid underbody and a significant deterioration in ride comfort.
The use of Schwingmetall K 3500 series hydromounts minimizes vibrations and gives the driver a greater degree of comfort. Close collaboration from an early stage with Orenstein & Koppel´s engineers ensured that it was possible to adapt the mount developed by ContiTech Vibration Control precisely to the customer´s requirements.
ContiTech Air Spring Systems offer solutions for vibration-oriented mounting of machines. From the technical design all the way through to the harmonization of individual system components. ContiTech air springs make very low natural frequencies possible, from 0.5 to 3.5 Hz depending on the type. With loads ranging from 0.5 kN to more than 440 kN, ContiTech air isolators provide effective mounts for sensitive measuring instruments as well as heavy foundations.
