Rustproof 4002 protects steel parts from oxidation and corrosion for up to 2 years, when steel parts are properly stored indoors, and it will protect parts in covered outdoor storage. Rustproof 4002 leaves a brown semi-hard, grease-type film on the parts and is extremely resistant to corrosive atmospheres. This heavy-duty rust preventive meets and exceeds military specification MIL-C 16173, Type ll.
