CrysCoat 2187 is an iron phosphate material used to simultaneous clean and phosphate steel prior to painting. It is normally used in immersion processes. It can also be used to clean and remove oxide from aluminum and zinc substrates. For heavily soiled substrates, an alkaline cleaner is sometimes used ahead of CrysCoat 2187. With its robust accelerator package, CrysCoat 2187 can produce high coating weights which help it provide superior paint adhesion and corrosion resistance under today's modern finishes. It is used in combination with CrysCoat Adjust OX and Gardobond Additive H 7212 to maintain precise operating pH.
