The HCPL-4506 is an 8-pin DIP optocoupler designed for intelligent power module and gate drive interface applications, featuring an integrated 20 kΩ output pull-up resistor and optimized for reduced switching dead time in inverters. It operates over an industrial temperature range of -40°C to 100°C with a minimum common mode transient immunity of 15 kV/µs at V_CM = 1500 V and a current transfer ratio greater than 44% at I_F = 10 mA. Propagation delay difference is specified at 450 ns maximum. The device is UL recognized for 3750 Vrms for 1 minute and meets CSA and IEC/EN/DIN EN 60747-5-2 safety approvals.
