The BCM53101EIMLG is a highly integrated seven-port managed switch designed for 10/100 Mbps Ethernet applications. It features five integrated 10/100 MACs with corresponding PHYs, along with an additional 10/100 MAC that supports MII/RvMII/RMII interfaces, and a 10/100/1000 MAC for high-speed connections. The device supports up to 2K MAC addresses and a maximum frame size of 2 KB. This switch includes advanced features such as 4K-entry VLAN support, quality of service (QoS) with four classes of service (CoS) queues, and security measures like IEEE 802.1x for user authentication. It also offers traffic management capabilities, including ingress rate limiting and egress rate shaping, as well as support for Spanning Tree Protocols and port mirroring. Designed for low power consumption, the BCM53101 operates at less than 0.7W and incorporates green features such as auto power down and sleep modes. The device is fabricated using a 65 nm low-power process, enhancing its efficiency and reliability for various networking applications.
