The Avago AFBR-5972EZ is a compact 650nm fiber optic transceiver device designed to support serial data communications with baud rates up to 250 MBd over standard bandwidth 0.5±0.05 NA POF and HCS fiber. The device also supports IEEE 802.3u Fast Ethernet (100Mbps) data communications. The device is built with a new compact Versatile Link connector. The new compact Versatile-Link duplex connector is compatible with existing simplex Versatile-Link connectors and features a very compact design with a form factor similar to the UTP connector. To enable easy visual differentiation the AFBR-5972EZ has a standard black colored port while the AFBR-5972BZ has a blue colored port. The AFBR-5972EZ is lead-free and compliant with RoHS.
