Made of tough B-721 metal detectable polyester material with subsurface graphics to seal the legend from acids, alkalis and other soil substances. Tape is easily identified due to sharply printed legend on APWA color-coded background and meets OSHA regulation 1926.956(c)(1) covering location of underground utility lines. Manual or automatic installation is easy (4"-6" below the surface is recommended for maximum detectability). Foil is 5 mils and standard roll size is 2" W x 1,000 ft.
