Bonitron, Inc. Ultracapacitor Tester M3628PUT-U07-110

Description
As ultracapacitors age, their Equivalent Series Resistance rises and their capacitance drops significantly below their original specification. These ultracapacitors typically need replacement to avoid process failure. Measuring the capacitance and Equivalent Series Resistance helps determine when these capacitors reach their end of life, avoiding both process failure and expensive, unnecessary preemptive replacement. The Bonitron M3628PUT allows the user to charge a capacitor or bank to a specified voltage, and then discharge the bank. The display will then show the calculated capacitance and Equivalent Series Resistance of the bank. Features Charges, discharges, and measures ultracapacitors Variable output voltage: 0 - 130 VDC Digital control interface Operates from standard 110-120VAC supply Tough impact and weather resistant case Advantages Accurate capacitance and Equivalent Series Resistance measurement Over-current and over-temperature protection Quickly charges and/or discharges ultracapacitors Portable case on wheels Benefits Measuring aging caps helps avoid preemptive replacement Quick verification of both new and stored ultracapacitors Decreases maintenance time and cost
