The MC3PHACVDW is a monolithic intelligent motor controller designed for low-cost, variable-speed, 3-phase AC motor control systems. It operates without the need for software development, making it suitable for applications with limited software resources. Key features include volts-per-hertz speed control, digital signal processing for enhanced speed stability, and a 6-output pulse-width modulator (PWM) for 3-phase waveform generation. The device also incorporates a 4-channel analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and supports both standalone and hosted operation. The MC3PHACVDW is equipped with protective features such as DC bus voltage monitoring and a system fault input that disables the PWM module upon fault detection. It is designed for a wide range of applications, including low horsepower HVAC motors, home appliances, commercial laundry equipment, process control, and pumps and fans. The operating temperature range is from -40¬8C to +105¬8C, and it is available in a plastic 28-pin small outline integrated circuit (SOIC) package.
