If the top of the column bed becomes fouled and the usual hygiene steps do not restore performance, a few milliliters of the bed can be removed and replaced with fresh support. The Bio-Scale CHT Type I column top-off support kit contains 1 ml support, frits, and distribution screens for each column diameter.
