The GIPTAD1 is an indoor tight buffered patchcord featuring a Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) outer jacket with a nominal diameter of 2.4mm. It is designed for simplex single-mode applications compliant with ITU-T standards G.652.D and G.657.A1. This patchcord is suitable for flexible terminating leads, including pigtails, patchcords, and test leads, and supports various computer network applications such as FDDI, Gigabit Ethernet, and ATM. The patchcord has a maximum attenuation of 0.40 dB/km at 1310 nm and 0.30 dB/km at both 1550 nm and 1625 nm. It is constructed with a tight buffered fiber type and has a buffer diameter of 0.9 mm. The cable is water-tight and has a crush resistance of 5 kN/m for short-term installation. It operates effectively within a temperature range of -40 ¬8C to +70 ¬8C and can be installed in temperatures from -15 ¬8C to +50 ¬8C.
