Cable pulls convert linear motion into rotary motion when pulling in and out the cable. Depending on the application, the rotary motion is driving an incremental or absolute encoder which provides the signals for control evaluation or further processing by controller or digital display.

The Baumer cable-pull encoder portfolio comprises two series: The cable-pulls of Series BMMS are extremely compact with 5m measuring length maximum. The second series is focusing on precision and provides a maximum measuring length of 50 m. Flexible combination options with both incremental and absolute encoders provide you with exactly the freedom you need for your application.
