The measuring principle in the Pt100 temperature sensor is based on the relationship between resistance and tem pe ra tu re in platinum. The platinum sensor is manufactured in accordance with DIN/EN/IEC 751, e.g. 0°C corresponds to 100 Ohm and 100°C to 138.5 Ohm. The sensors are factory calibrated to 1/1 DIN B, which means that the temperature sensor can be replaced without recalibrating the measuring system.
