The Sensor, Optical, SCR (part number 21H9542) from Banner Engineering is a compact, self-contained infrared fiber optic sensor designed for 24-240V AC operation. It supports multiple sensing modes, including opposed, retroreflective, and diffuse, when used with Banner glass fiber optic assemblies. The sensor features a switch-selectable light operate or dark operate mode and has an 8-millisecond response time. It utilizes an SPST SCR solid-state output capable of switching loads up to 300 mA, with low leakage current and saturation voltage. Constructed with rugged, epoxy-encapsulated housing, the sensor meets various NEMA standards (1, 2, 3, 3S, 4, 4X, 12, and 13) and has an IEC IP67 rating, making it suitable for harsh environments. The operating temperature range is -20¬8C to +70¬8C (-4¬8F to +158¬8F), with a maximum relative humidity of 90% at 50¬8C (non-condensing). The sensor is equipped with a red LED indicator that lights up when the output is conducting, and it includes a 15-turn gain adjustment for sensitivity.
