AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation Rack mounted Power Supply aa1000

Description
The Model AA1000 is a rack mount unit supplying DC power, communication, and RF routing to either the AA18G26 or AA26G40 field generating systems. The unit is supplied with 2m and 4m power and RF cables, as well, as bulkhead feedthroughs for both cable types. Other lengths are available. The AA1000 protects the AA-series field generation systems from RF damage through an RF switch that can only close when power is supplied to an AA-series field generator system that is operating under normal parametric conditions. The front panel indicates the operating status and fault conditions if a power supply fault has occurred. The unit can be returned to operate when the condition has been cleared. All unit control functions and status indications are available remotely through the Remote interfaces. The remote interfaces include GPIB/ IEEE-488 format, RS-232 hardwire and fiber optic, USB, and Ethernet. The bus interface connector is located on the back panel and positive control of the local or remote operation is assured by a Local/Remote switch on the front panel of the rackmount unit. Also included is a safety interlock circuit for use with external safety switch interlocks. This circuit prevents the amplifier from going into operating mode unless the external connection is made. A jumper plug is provided for cases where this functionality is not needed. The export classification for this equipment is EAR99.
