The AS1108WL is a 4-digit LED display driver designed for controlling 7-segment numeric displays. It supports programming via SPI, QSPI, Microwire, and a conventional 4-wire serial interface. The device features an integrated BCD code-B/HEX decoder, multiplex scan circuitry, and segment drivers, along with a 32-bit memory that retains LED settings without the need for continuous reprogramming. This driver allows for individual segment control and supports segment blinking, which can be synchronized across multiple drivers. It operates with a low shutdown current of approximately 3µA and an operational current of less than 500µA. The AS1108WL can drive common-cathode LED displays and offers a supply voltage range of +2.7 to +5.5V. It is packaged in a 20-pin SOIC format and is suitable for various applications, including bar-graph displays, instrument panels, and medical equipment.
