Mouse OBRb Phospho (Y1138) peptide (1133-1143) # 3
General Information
At least five genes, Obese (ob), diabetes (db), fat (fat), agouti yellow (Ay), and tubby (tub) have been linked to obesity. Obese gene encodes an adipocyte-tissue derived secreted protein Ob protein/Leptin (167 amino acid, ~16 kDa) that controls body weig
SugApplications
Control or blocking peptides are recommended for ELISA plate coating for direct ELISA testing of antibodies or competitive ELISA, and antibody blocking or neutralization.

Antigen/blocking Peptide
Antigen
Control non-phosphorylated peptide (cat # OBR17-P) was used to negatively adsorb the phosphopeptide antiserum and making it specific for the OBRb-Tyr1138
SpCrossreactivity
Mouse OBR16-P sequence is specific for the long isoform (OBRb). It is 91% conserved in rat, 64% in human OBRb. The antibody is specific for OBRb phosphorylated at Tyr1138. It does not react with non-phosphorylated OBRb or OBRb phosphorylated at Tyr985. Antibody cross-reactivity in various species has not been studied
