Human 11-beta hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase-2 (11 beta-HSD-2) Control/blocking peptide #3
General Information
11 HSD-2 (rat 400-aa, mouse 396-aa, human 405-aa) is a ~41 kDa glycosylated membrane-protein present in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). The N-terminal and C-terminal (catalytic domain) of 11 -HSD2 are in the lumen and cytoplasm of ER, respectively. 11 -HS
SugApplications
Control or blocking peptides are recommended for ELISA plate coating for direct ELISA testing of antibodies or competitive ELISA, and antibody blocking or neutralization.
SpeciesReactivity
Human
Form
Antigen/blocking Peptide
Antigen
A 19-aa peptide (designated BHSD23-P or control peptide) Gene Accession # P80365, human 11 -HSD2 (1) conjugated to KLH Epitope location ~ N-terminal
SpCrossreactivity
The human BHSD23-P peptide is not well conserved in mouse and rat 11 -HSD2. We recommend the use of cat # BHD21-A and BHD22-A for rat and mouse 11 -HSD2, respectively. No significant sequence homology of BHSD23-P is seen with 11 -HSD1 or other proteins
