Alfa Laval Inc. Gasketed Plate-and-Frame Heat Exchangers BaseLine

Description
The BaseLine range consists of reliable, cost-effective plate heat exchangers designed for food, beverage, dairy and other hygienic applications that are generally less sensitive than those handled by the premium FrontLine range. Dependable gasketed plate heat exchanger design The Alfa Laval BaseLine range of standard gasketed plate heat exchangers provides gentle, yet efficient, heating and cooling and meets all sanitary requirements. Typical applications include dairy, food and beverage, and other sanitary processes such as: Milk and beverage processing Wine tempering Bottled water treatment CIP (Cleaning-in-Place) heating Reverse osmosis water To complement the BaseLine range, Alfa Laval offers the premium FrontLine plate heat exchanger range. Easy to modify Modular design makes these standard plate heat exchangers easy to adapt to new or changing process requirements. Different plate types, plate materials, plate lengths, gasket materials and options make the BaseLine series an adaptable choice for a wide range of hygienic processes. You can, for instance, choose Alfa Laval’s B plate type for application that require the highest possible thermal efficiency. Or opt for our M plate type for applications that require gentler product treatment. Special sanitary-quality gaskets made of NBRFF and EPDFF are also available for hygienic processes. Plus, like the premium FrontLine series, the BaseLine series provides a clear path to greater capacity by simply adding more plates. High thermal efficiency Alfa Laval heat exchangers provide highly efficient heat transfer thanks to our unique thin plates with optimized chevron pattern, pressing depths and plate material. This provides more efficient and uniform heat transfer as well as uniform distribution of product across the entire surface of the plate. Alfa Laval plates are available in a wide range of designs and sizes. Easy cleaning and easy to service Alfa Laval plate heat exchangers come with features that make cleaning and service easy. Small ports, for example, make Cleaning-In-Place (CIP) possible without requiring the use of specialized pumps. Another great feature is our unique glue-less gasket system using FDA-compliant materials. Gaskets can easily be replaced while plates still hang on the frame, which saves both time and money. BaseLine plate heat exchanger range The Alfa Laval BaseLine series consists of four models – Base 3, 6, 10 and 11 – that feature 1” to 4” connections. Capacity ranges from 4,500 l/h to 130,000 l/h, depending on the application. All BaseLine models are designed to operate at pressures up to 10 bar (145 psi) and at operating temperatures of 160°C (PED).
