The ALD2502PBL is a dual precision high-speed micropower timer designed using advanced silicon gate CMOS technology. It operates in both monostable and astable modes, allowing for accurate time delays and oscillations. The device features a typical oscillation frequency of 2.5 MHz at 5V and can handle a supply voltage range from 2V to 12V. It has a low supply current of 100 µA and extremely low trigger, threshold, and reset currents of 10 pA, making it suitable for battery-operated applications. The ALD2502PBL is compatible with CMOS, NMOS, and TTL logic levels, and it includes three matched internal resistors that set the threshold and trigger levels. The output can source up to 2 mA and sink up to 10 mA, with a high discharge sinking current of 80 mA at 5V. The device is available in a 14-pin plastic package and operates within an ambient temperature range of 0°C to +70°C. It is functionally equivalent to the NE556 timer but offers expanded frequency ranges and lower power consumption.
