INSTAbond® M-100 is a general-purpose methyl cyanoacrylate adhesive known for its high bond strength across various substrates. It is a solvent-free product with low toxicity, making it user-friendly. The adhesive requires no mixing or heating, simplifying the application process. For optimal performance, substrates should be cleaned and dried before application, and a thin bond line is recommended. The adhesive exhibits a gap-filling capability of 0.06 mm and demonstrates a tensile strength of 25-30 N/mm² when bonding steel to steel. The cure speed is approximately 30-40 seconds for plastics, rubber, metal, and wood under standard conditions (50% relative humidity at 22°C). INSTAbond® M-100 is available in various packaging sizes, including 1-oz, 2-oz, 4-oz, and 500-gram bottles. Proper storage at 25°C (77°F) away from direct sunlight is advised, with a shelf life of 12 months when stored correctly. For challenging materials like polyethylene and silicone rubber, the use of INSTAbond® PDQ Primer is recommended, and an accelerator can be utilized to reduce setting time if necessary.
