INSTAbond¬Æ 108 is a medium strength, wicking grade anaerobic threadlocking compound designed for securing pre-assembled bolts up to ¬O,Äù in diameter. It utilizes capillary action to penetrate threaded assemblies and is effective for securing set screws and other components after assembly. The product provides protection against rust and corrosion, making it suitable for various industrial applications. The uncured product is green in color with a viscosity of 15 cPs and a specific gravity of 1.1 gms/ml. It has a flash point greater than 93 degrees Celsius. Once cured, it exhibits a fixture time of 20 minutes on unprimed steel at 25 degrees Celsius and achieves full cure within 24 hours. The breakaway torque after 24 hours is 80 in-lbs, while the prevailing torque is 250 in-lbs. The operational temperature range for this product is from -65 to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. It is important to note that INSTAbond¬Æ 108 is not recommended for use in pure oxygen or with chlorine-containing materials and is unsuitable for plastic parts. Proper storage conditions include keeping the product below 100 degrees Fahrenheit and out of direct sunlight, with a shelf life of 18 months when stored correctly.
