Weiler Tiger Paw non-woven Type 27 flap disc uses zirconium as the abrasive material and has a diameter of 4 1/2 in. Since this product is non-woven, grade is generally used to describe the abrasiveness; with the 51112 having a very coarse grade. Weiler incorporates this zirconium material into the flap disc forming a grit of 36. All abrasive products that rotate or spin, such as the ones in this category, have a maximum speed at which you can run them. This Weiler flap disc can be run at a maximum speed of 13000 RPMs. The Weiler flap disc uses phenolic resin for the backing plate.
