Universal Wire Works Inc. Stainless Steel Alloy Universal 309L

Description
Universal 309L is the same as E309 with the exception of the carbon content. The lower carbon content permits this alloy when used in corrosive environments where it is necessary to protect against intergranular corrosion due to carbide precipitation without the use of stabilizers such as titanium or columbium. The deposited weld metal is not as strong in elevated temperatures as the standard 309 or the stabilized alloys.
