UCD-301 is a UHD / 4K@60Hz compliant video capture unit for testing DisplayPort™ and HDMI Sources. UCD-301 enables testing all aspects of HDMI 2.0 and DP 1.4a with HBR2 max bit rate capability. UCD-301 is a DCP approved test tool for HDCP 2.3 compliance testing of DisplayPort transmitters.

HDCP 2.3 CTS Test Tool
UCD-301 is a DCP LLC Approved Test Tool for HDCP 2.3 Compliance Testing on DisplayPort Transmitters devices. HDCP 2.3 Compliance Test capability is an add-on feature to the UCD Console GUI. HDCP 2.3 CTS tests can be straightforwardly enabled to any UCD-323 Test Tool with an SW add-on. The software add-on can be purchased separately for testing Transmitter devices.
Platform for Test Automation
Run automated tests straight from the command line by using the C++ code. Unigraf also provides users with a library of scripts that can be used an example for detailed tests. The scripts are run through Unigraf’s Test System Interface (TSI) which is the test software API that allows system integrators a fast and reliable way for ensuring the functionality of the test equipment. These scripts can be used to automate all the tests available in the UCD-301, including Compliance Tests for HDCP 2.3.
Unique Features
Electrical Tests
With UCD-301 Digital, the tester can verify the electrical continuity of each signal in the HDMI and DisplayPort interface. The TSI test automation routine allows the calling application to set the target limits. TSI provides the result through ‘Pass / Fail’ indication with the actual measured value.
UCD Console
The UCD-301 graphical user interface for R&D debugging is called UCD Console. It provides the user with a flexible way of navigating between the interface based Roles of the device and the functionalities of each Role. UCD Console features preview windows for the received video and audio, monitoring and controls for the USB-C connection parameters, DP link parameters, and an EDID editor. UCD Console also provides the status and control of the HDCP function.

TSI SDK Advanced Test Set
UCD-301 Test Tool is delivered with Unigraf’s basic SDK (System Development Kit). Unigraf’s SDK is called TSI (Test System Interface). TSI.exe is a high-level software API (Application Programming Interface) for creating automated tests in an IDE (Integrated Development Environment).
TSI SDK Advanced Test Set provides users with e.g. EDID and DPCD Editor and built-in Source DUT tests (ARC, CEC, CRC). TSI SDK Advanced Test Sets can be straightforwardly enabled to any UCD-301 with a software add-on. Please refer to the table below to compare TSI Basic and TSI Advanced test sets.
