Style MTA8 is a mineral-insulated cable thermocouple assembly with a connection head featuring a 1/2" NPT nipple, union, and nipple, made of galvanized steel. The assembly includes a gasketed enclosure available in die-cast aluminum, Bakelite, or cast iron, and supports single (2-wire) or duplex (4-wire) configurations. It offers grounded, ungrounded, or exposed junction types, with sheath materials including Alloy 600, 304 SS, and 316 SS, and standard sheath outer diameters from 0.125" to 0.375". The assembly is rated for operation up to 2150°F with Alloy 600 sheathing and is designed for high-temperature industrial applications such as furnaces, power stations, and petrochemical processing.
