The MatScan¬Æ is a low-profile foot pressure measurement platform designed for capturing both static and dynamic pressure data. With a thickness of only 0.57 cm (0.225 in), it minimizes the risk of tripping and does not alter gait patterns. The system is equipped with validated sensors that provide objective data for various applications, including foot function analysis, gait analysis, postural stability, sway analysis, fall risk assessments, and pressure offloading for neuropathic feet. The MatScan¬Æ offers two electronic options: Evolution,Ñ¢ with a scanning speed of up to 100 Hz and VersaTek,Ñ¢ with a higher scanning rate of 440 Hz. It features a sensing area of 43.6 x 36.9 cm (17.2 x 14.5 in) and can connect via USB 2.0. The system supports a range of software applications for comprehensive analysis, including FootMat Software for clinicians and researchers, as well as optional add-on protocols. The MatScan¬Æ is compatible with gait lab technologies, such as EMG and motion capture systems, enhancing its utility in clinical and research settings.
