E-Z LOK™ 2-56 STI Tap
Although they operate in a similar fashion as “standard” taps, STI taps create an oversized thread specifically for E-Z Coil™ threaded inserts.
When installing the insert, the threads cut by the 2-56 STI tap mold the E-Z Coil™ insert into the desired thread size. These specific taps are ideal for tapping holes in soft metal material that require a strong threaded insert.
